The Automated Messages tool on Exly allows you to customize a predefined set of automated messages for communication between you and your leads/customers through emails and SMS. This tool is efficient and removes the need to go back and forth on discussing basic information thus saving time and effort.


How to use the Automated Messages tool with Exly?

You can follow the step-by-step guide to create and edit Automated Messages on Exly:


Step 1: On the Creator Tool page, scroll down to the Workflow Tools menu on the left side, and click on Automated Messages.


Step 2: A new section will appear on the right side of the page where you can see different tabs for automated messages Sent To Users and Sent To Me (the creator). These messages are sent out at different times based on the nature of the CTA.


Sent To Users:

These are the communications that are sent to your customers. They include:

  • Invoices: All invoice-related automated messages sent to the users for various transactions will appear here - merchandise booking, content purchase, package booking, class bookings, and appointment/workshop booking.


You can view and/or edit any message template by clicking on the View/Edit option.


You can always choose to pause certain predefined automated messages by using the toggle button.

  • Purchase Confirmation: All automated messages sent to the users to confirm their orders/purchases will appear here - appointment/workshop/class, package/no schedule type, subscriptions, recorded content, merchandise, and dispatch confirmation for merchandise orders.

    You can view and/or edit any message template by clicking on the View/Edit option.
    According to the new TRAI regulations, the SMS copy can’t be edited.

  • Reminders: All automated messages sent to the users to remind them of their purchase of appointment/workshop/class, package/no schedule type,  recorded content, merchandise, dispatch confirmation for merchandise orders, monthly payments for subscriptions, etc.

You can view and/or edit any message template by clicking on the View/Edit option. You can also send yourself a sample message by clicking on ‘Send Me a Test Message’ button and see what the text will appear to the user.

  • Updates: The automated message sent to the users to remind them of the content expiration date, booked schedule updates, and Zoom auto-recording notifications will appear here.

    You can view and/or edit the message by clicking on the View/Edit option.



Sent To Me:

These are the reminders and communications that are sent to you. They include:

  • Reports: All automated messages sent to the creator of their daily/weekly reports will appear here - leads received in a day, weekly performance, and blogs’ weekly performance.
    You can expand these reports by clicking on the View button. You cannot edit these reports but you can send yourself a sample text by clicking on the Send Me a Test Message button.

    You can also choose to turn of any report by clicking on the toggle button.

  • Purchase Confirmations: All automated messages sent to the creator with purchase confirmations of recorded content, merchandise, appointments/workshops/class, and package/no-schedule type listing will appear here.

    You can expand these reports by clicking on the View button. You cannot edit these reports but you can send yourself a sample text by clicking on the Send Me a Test Message button.

  • Updates: All automated messages sent to the creator updating them on either new activity or acting as reminders - new leads converted, initiated payouts, list of users whose subscriptions end in 2 days, expiration of recorded content purchase for at least one customer will appear here.


    You can expand these reports by clicking on the View button.

  • Reminders: Automated message sent to the creator updating them on reminders sent to customers such as monthly payment reminder for class subscriptions.


    You can expand these report by clicking on the View button. You cannot edit the report but you can send yourself a sample text by clicking on the Send Me a Test Message button.
