Asking booking questions before and after a purchase is an effective strategy for creators and businesses to ensure a seamless and personalized experience for their customers. By gathering relevant information prior to the transaction, businesses can tailor their offerings to meet specific needs or preferences.

Similarly, post-purchase booking questions allow creators to gather valuable insights and feedback from customers. This could include inquiring about their goals, areas of interest, or preferred learning styles, enabling businesses to refine and enhance their offerings continually.

On Exly, you can easily add pre and post booking questions that your customers can answer.

Read this easy-to-follow guide on how to add Booking Questions:

Step 1: On the Creator Tool page, scroll down to the Create/Edit Offering menu on the left side.

From the Live Offerings page, select the offering for which you want to create an order bump for.

Click on the three dot menu next to the Share button of the offering and select Manage Offering option.

From the screen that opens, click on Manage Booking questions option from the Booking questions card..

Step 2: If this is your first time adding a question to an offering, an empty screen will open. Click on Add Question to proceed to the next steps.

A form will pop up where you’ll have to enter:

  • Question: Type in the question that you want to ask the users

  • Answer Type: Specify the type of answer you want to collect. There are 11 types of types you can select from namely: Paragraph Text, Select One Option, Select Multiple Options, Calendar, File, Short Text Question, Number, URL, Gender, Indian State and Indian City

By checking the Set Limits box, you can also set at maximum character limit for the answers.

  • Question Placement: Choose if you want to ask the question before booking or after booking

By Default, this question is set to be mandatory, that is the user cannot proceed until they answer this question. You can toggle this button to make this question optional.

Click on Add Question to add it to the offering.

You can now see the question on the screen. To add more questions, click on Add Question on the top right of the screen and follow the same steps.

Once the question has been added, the customer can answer it based on if it has been place before booking or after booking.
